Cook Memorial Public Library District is seeking three responsible, team-minded individuals for part-time Maintenance Associate positions at both our Cook Park Library in Libertyville and Aspen Drive Library in Vernon Hills.   Our ideal candidates are equally adept at providing customer service and able to work independently. These are permanent, year-round positions. 

HOURS: 
•    Position #1 – Aspen Drive Library – Two evenings per week: 
Monday & Wednesday, 5 – 9 pm, and alternating weekends
•    Position #2 – Aspen Drive Library – Two evenings per week: 
Tuesday & Thursday, 5 – 9 pm, and alternating weekends
•    Position #3 – Cook Park Library – Two evenings per week:
Monday & Wednesday, 5 – 9 pm, and alternating weekends

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Maintaining cleanliness of building and grounds
•    Performing light and routine maintenance work
•    Delivering materials between our two locations
•    Daily room set-ups for programs
•    Seasonal duties such as snow removal and plant watering
•    Building security

REQUIREMENTS:
•    Able to lift 50 pounds, have the agility to use ladders, and get on and off roofs 
•    Able to read and understand equipment manuals
•    Familiarity with tools, plumbing, painting, and cleaning techniques
•    Able to easily communicate in English 
•    Basic computer skills
•    Requires occasionally covering additional shifts at both our Cook Park Library and Aspen Drive Library locations
•    Must have own transportation, valid Driver’s License and good driving record
•    High School Graduate/GED

SALARY AND BENEFITS: 
Anticipated hiring range $18.00 - $19.00  Depending on Qualifications.  Paid leave and scheduled holiday leave. Premium pay on Sundays. Yearly cost of living and merit increases.
